I truly enjoy attending Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design because of its smaller, close-knit community. At a school like this, everyone knows each other, and the environment feels very welcoming. I don’t feel pressured to conform or pretend to be someone I’m not. It’s comforting to be surrounded by people who share similar interests and values.
The professors here are incredibly supportive and approachable. They take the time to guide you, whether it’s during class or on individual projects you’re working on. Being a full-time student, I also appreciate the flexibility they provide in scheduling classes. This allows me to manage my workload effectively and avoid feeling overwhelmed.
One thing I wish I could dedicate more time to is meeting with the financial aid department. I’m eager to explore additional scholarship opportunities to help cover the cost of my education. Since this is a private college without dormitories, I live in an apartment across town. Coordinating with the financial aid team is essential for me to find scholarships that could ease the financial burden.
As a first-generation college student raised by a single mother on a Native American Indian Reservation, I am motivated to pursue every available opportunity to fund my education. Any assistance in making college more affordable is incredibly valuable to me.
